IAC creates value by providing tools for its members to succeed.
IAC is the go to destination to enable excellence in the I/DD service system for children and adults in New York State.
The InterAgency Council of Developmental Disabilities Agencies, Inc. (IAC), with over 150 members, is the largest provider association in New York for non-profit agencies that support individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. In addition to ‘Regular’ members located in IAC’s immediate catchment area of New York City, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester and Rockland countries, ‘Associate’ membership is held by voluntary service providers throughout New York State, as well as ‘Subscriber’ and ‘Sponsor’ members that represent businesses that provide services that support the actions of the IAC non-profit members.
IAC members provide services and supports to individuals with I/DD throughout their lifespan. Over 17,500 children, aged zero to 21 years, receive school services from IAC members. Residential opportunities in the community are provided to over 13,000 adults with I/DD and over 30,500 individuals receive day services, including vocational training and placement, from IAC member agencies. Additionally IAC members offer thousands of individuals with I/DD and their families a wide range of services including medical, clinical, recreational and other supports.
