Developing residential opportunities and day programs requires a highly organized person with the ability to manage multiple tasks within strict timelines. With each step of the development process being contingent upon the next, providers can't lose track of any of the vital steps in the development process — such as pre-service training for the new site's staff! The InterAgency Training Institute is pleased to offer a New Site Start-Up Training Package to help providers stay on track as multiple development tasks share the same deadline. The New Site Start-Up Training Package is flexible enough to conform to the needs your project development schedule, while structured enough to ensure that your staff, new to the mr/dd field, receive all the pre-service training required for a successful opening.

 
What's Included?

Training is provided to your new site staff as a group, at your location, providing an opportunity for good team building from day one! The provider can select either the full core (10 days, including AMAP, First Aid, CPR, SCIP-R, Human Growth and Development, and Intro to Developmental Disabilities) or the basic core (9 days, including AMAP, First Aid, CPR, & SCIP-R). In order to make this program cost effective, both the basic core and the full core are purchased as packages; partial packages or substitutions cannot be permitted in this pricing plan.

 
Why use the New Site Start-Up Training Package?
  • Newly hired staff can learn together while building the foundation for the team they will need to become to work well in their new program.
  • Training can be conducted in the familiar surrounding of the agency's program site.
  • Providers can select dates and times that best suit their needs, including weekends and evenings as options.
  • IACTI takes care of all logistics – locating and scheduling duly certified trainers for each course, providing all equipment and materials, managing testing and certification.
  • Pricing is well with-in the training budget allocated by OMRDD for new site start-up costs.
 
What are the costs?

The New Site Start-Up Training Package can be purchased for either small or large groups. (Prices below include all materials with the exception of AMAP books, which may be purchased separately or provided by the agency.)
