Cancellation Policy

Cancellation PolicyThank you for submitting your registration to us!  However, we understand that there are times when it may be necessary to cancel registration.  Below is a description of our cancellation policy. 
 
 
I Wish to Cancel My Registration for a Conference or a Multi-Day Session ...
 
All cancellations for conferences and/or multi-day sessions must be received at least 10 business days before the start of the event.  For events/trainings having multiple meetings days, cancellation notification must be received at least 10 business days prior to the start of the first date of the event.  At that time, cancelling participants will receive a 100% refund of the event.  Cancellations must be received, by IAC, in writing by email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.), fax (212-627-8847, ATTN: Training Department), or by US Mail (IAC, 150 West 30th Street, 15th floor, New York, NY 10001, ATTN: Training Department). No refunds will be made for requests received after that time.  Refunds will be issued in the same form payment was made. Please allow 2-4 weeks for processing. Registrants who cancel will not have access, under any circumstances, to event.  Registrants failing to cancel within the timeframe defined above or do not attend the event in its entirety will retain financial responsibility for the full event.
 
 
I Wish to Cancel My Registration for a Single Day or Online Course...
 
All cancellations for single day or online courses must be received at least 48 business hours before the start of the event/training.  At that time, cancelling participants will receive a 100% refund of the event/training fee.  Cancellations must be received, by us, in writing by email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.), fax (212-627-8847, ATTN: Training Department), or by US Mail (IAC, 150 West 30th Street, 15th Floor, New York, NY 10001, ATTN: Training Department).  No refunds will be made for requests received after that time.  Refunds will be issued in the same form payment was made.  Please allow 2-4 weeks for processing.  Registrants who cancel will not have access, under any circumstances, to event/training materials.  Registrants failing to cancel up to 48 hours prior to the start of the course will retain financial responsibility.  The IAC does not provide refunds for participants who do not complete the course in its entirety.  Registrants who do not complete the course will retain financial responsibility.
 
 
I Wish to Have a Colleague Take My Place...
 
All substitutions or name changes should be received by us at least 24 business hours before the start of the event/training.  No refunds are given for substitutions or names changes as a participant will still be occupying a position on the list of registrants.
 
 
What Happens If IAC Decides to Cancel Training?
 
In Case of Inclement Weather
 
In case of inclement weather, please call the IAC message center at (212) 645-6360 after 6:00am.  If the class has been cancelled, there will be a recorded message indicating the cancellation and giving instructions for re-scheduling.  This information will also be spotlighted on our website.  If there is no message, then class will meet as scheduled. 
 
Insufficient Registration
 
Classes with insufficient registration may be subject to cancellation.  If so, registrants will be notified at least 48 business hours prior to scheduled training date and given a priority status for re-registration in another class. 
 
Emergency Cancellation
 
In certain instances (e.g. trainer illness, etc.) it may be necessary for the IAC to call for an emergency cancellation.  In the event of emergency cancellations, registrants will be contacted immediately by phone, email, and fax and will be provided with information and instructions for re-scheduling.
