| Course Description |
This hands on interactive workshop
will give staff the skills to teach and assist sight-impaired individuals in
using trailing techniques and the sighted guide, so they can ambulate safely
in a variety of settings. Environmental issues, adaptations, and
specific techniques to orient individuals to their surroundings, will be
discussed. Participants should wear comfortable shoes and clothing. This
training has been developed by the Helen Keller National Center. |
