This
course will cover good practices in the identification and assessment of
hearing loss and the medical/educational interventions available to young
children diagnosed. It will include how we hear, the types of hearing
loss and the effect of hearing loss on child development. General
considerations and the elements of a comprehensive assessment will be
discussed, as well as what professionals and parents need to consider when
determining communication modalities and amplification devices. |
