10-hour course is designed for escorts on vans and buses transporting
individuals to day programs. The
curriculum covers: understanding the participants and their disabilities,
improving communication, incident and abuse reporting, emergency
procedures, health safety for protection against blood borne pathogens,
behavior management techniques, and basic first aid. |
