| Course Description
|
This course
certifies trainees to administer medications in OMRDD-funded residential and
day programs. This course including: responsibilities of AMAP
certification, common medications, side effects, rights and responsibilities
of administering medication, measurement of vital signs, and common
abbreviations used in the medical field. |

Trainees must attend each day and must score 80% on exams.
Final certification follows successful demonstration of skills at trainee's agency,
supervised by agency nurse. |
| Notes |
All trainees should have an AMAP text book for their own
use. Trainees should either bring an AMAP book from the agency, or check PURCHASE BOOK
checkbox. The book costs $20. |
